Every week we like to feature a shopkick user- this week we feature James from Pennsylvania!

James is 25 years old and a recent college graduate, working as a Crisis Intervention Specialist with autistic and emotional support children (5-22 years old) He’s a social media enthusiast with his own website where he provides various web services and loves the idea of Location Based Services like shopkick :)

On shopkick, James notes :

“For me its been a real community discovery tool. I find places through this app that I never knew about! But, I do love that I can scan items for rewards and bonuses, I think scanning is a real great feature and I love the incentives behind scanning. I’m more likely to go to Best Buy and view their products then other stores because I can get a gift card, Plus the scannable products are great - I bought the USB stick :)

I seem to always recruit more and more people every time I am out using shopkick to scan or check-in. I had an older woman (above 60 I believe) ask me why I was scanning an Olay product and said that my skin looked fine! I explained the app to her and she immediately told her granddaughter who downloaded the app in the pharmacy and used it right away! She was excited for the American Eagle incentives :)”
